For some reason, today I found myself Googling for a way to save a video from Facebook.
Certainly not because one of my friends send me a sensationally scandalous video of Hatsune Miku.
I tried right-clicking on the video to see if I could download it, I tried opening it on Android to see if the option presented itself, and I read a few articles recommending online services or installing special apps.
None of that ended up being necessary. The answer was really simple, which I found thanks to this site.
The Method
- Take the URL of the video, in this example:
https://www.facebook.com/KirinoDidNothingWrong/videos/1146736255355437
- Replace “www” with “m” – in this example,
https://m.facebook.com/KirinoDidNothingWrong/videos/1146736255355437
– and Facebook will direct you to the correct page on the mobile version. - Play the video.
- Now, right-clicking on the video . You should see the option, “Save video as…”
- Save it wherever you’d like!
I hope that this can help you out in your life at some point, as it has helped me out in mine. …again, not that my Googling had anything to do with this video at all! It’s totally unrelated. I’m not at all a fan of hypersexualized Mikus.
….Except when I am. What can I say? I’m pathetic.
…can you really blame me?

Although… now that I notice… it’s a pretty low-quality video, because it’s made for mobile. This site does a good job giving a high-quality video: http://en.savefrom.net/
